Mackenzie Thorpe

Internationally renowned artist Mackenzie Thorpe was raised in the industrial town of Middlesbrough in the 1950s, where his father worked as a laborer and his mother as an auxiliary nurse. Life for the Thorpe family was no different to that of most of their community – at times a struggle. Mackenzie acknowledges mixed emotions about this period in his life. He remembers the strong feeling of community spirit, the warmth and humor that flourished in the face of adversity, as well as the loneliness and isolation.

His works express an entire range of human emotion, from the special bond of love and friendship, to the importance of self-reflection and individual triumphs. His works are a tribute to the creativity within us all and are a vivid expression of hope and the human spirit. Mackenzie's perspective on life is clear. He doesn’t hide the fact that often life is a struggle, a dark tunnel which can seem endless. However, he passionately believes that our frail dreams are worth nurturing and that love and honesty will triumph over adversity.

Jean-Luc Feugeas

Arūnas Žilys

Lithunian artist ArūnasŽilys and his vividly colored oil paintings are well known on both sides of Atlantic. The subjects usually entail many different cultural aspects from ancient history to modern times, and could be attributed to vitually any part of the world, thus making Arūnas‘ paintings highly admired by people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures. The painting subjects are instantly admirable. They avoid main features of post- modernism art, such as declarations of aggressiveness, ugliness and anger. The human element in his paintings is mysterious, provocative, and highly sophisticated. Although in many cases the subjects are slightly surrealistic they do not declare any confrontations, pain or suffering.Au contraire, they are full of peace and claim self-consiousness, declaring the essential goodness of the human nature. In addition Arūnas‘ colors emulate warm beauty and depth of the fantasy world. His style of painting creates and additional vibrating effect, where depth and structure of painting changes with lighting, angle of viewing, and even your own mood. Rich texture, mix and contrast of colors perfectly supplement the themes and give Arūnas‘ paintings inmistakable uniqueness that separates them from the crowd and make them so desired by art collectors from around the world.

Guido Bottazzo

An Italian visual artist Guido Bottazzo’s pure emotions triggered his artistic and eternal will. From his childhood, he was fascinated by motors, especially formula one (F1), which always played an important role in his imagination. He uses a variety of techniques to describe the fantasy of the world, to describe the world with the pure and unpolluted eyes of children, they project the audience into a mechanical reality of imagination full of miracles, accidents and surprises at the same time. We can see the imagination breaking through the cage of the will and reality and establishing a connection with the environment and the spiritual self.

Shelley Muzylowski Allen

Shelley Muzylowski Allen was born in Manitoba, Canada, and has a B.F.A in Painting and Intaglio from the Emily Carr institute of Art & Design (Vancouver, B.C.). Glass is a medium that keeps me in the moment.

Striving to bring a painterly quality to this dynamic medium, I layer color to add depth to the sculpture being made. The textures and patterns have the fluidity and gesture of brushwork and enrich the strong, three-dimensional form. The hot glass process inspires a rhythm that parallels the rhythm of life, and requires me to work intuitively. I sculpt instinctively and try to remain candid in my portrayal of the subject and to the significance of the act of creating its image.

By suspending figures in moments of tension, recalling myths and legends through animal forms, I hope to convey a place that different species have occupied over time. From the long and storied history of the horse and all that is has signified through the ages, to medieval tapestries depicting the lure of the unicorn, to the miniature sculptural tradition of the Japanese Netsuke and the disapearance of the Red Gazelle, animals have been associated with mythology, legend, magic and divinity. As symbols and icons of eras and cultures around the world, it is important that I capture the inherent nature of thesecreatures in my work reflecting not just my own insights but inspiring an emotional experience and connection in the viewer.

Randy Puckett

Randy Puckett was a pioneer in the field of whale sculpture, his work does not simply carve out the appearance of Marine life, instead, it is carefully described in detailwith a comprehensive understanding of the structure and behavior of the whales. He has found ways to be part of their world: dived Humpback Whales and observed River Dolphins and Sperm whales. Randy's fascination with motion, grace, and tactile beauty is evident in his sculptures. He collects and studies photographs, motion picture film and video tape, and current scientific literature on whales. In puck's work, there is a pair of Courting Humpbacks swim in tandem, with mothers taking care of their young, and a family of Spotted Dolphins races across tropical seas enjoying life and freedom......

The grace and beauty of Randy's work is enjoyed and recognized by many collectors, and his work has garnered many awards in competitive art shows on both East and West Coasts. The Ocean Research Foundation awarded him the 1988 John Stoneman Award for his "outstanding contributions toward the better understanding and appreciation of the marine environment."
