虽然网络互联可以快速传递讯息,但在瑞士,警笛和传统电台广播仍是当地警报系统向民众发出紧急通知的重要途经。为了检测警报器的警报功能是否正常,每年2月的第一个周三,瑞士当地有关部门会测试遍布全国的7800个警笛。

但是最近,NGO组织大赦国际与瑞士第24广播电台合作,将每年2月在瑞士进行的警笛之声转换为来自也门的战争冲突声音。这是为什么呢?

原来,自2015年3月25日以来,无预警空袭无故摧毁了也门的许多公众建筑,包括房屋、学校和医院。

为了提高瑞士民众对也门局势的认识,NGO组织“大赦国际”发起了一项战役,以两周为期作为测试,通过2分15秒的战争冲突之声让人们亲身感受战争的残酷,呼吁人们发起捐助以支持国际特赦组织在也门的工作,希望人们不要忘记战争。

据悉,广播播出的当天,第24广播电台的听众人数增长了四倍不止,突破历史新高,有超过21万人在线收听广播。在为其两周的测试时间里,民众的捐赠意愿翻了一番,同时“大赦国际”还收到了超过10万个支持打击武器出口的倡议签名。
