Lancôme bats its eyes at young Chinese

Beijing - Lancôme rolled out an interactive make-up bus to promote its new mascara across China.
Kicking off its beauty tour in Beijing last Friday, the bus welcomes
trendy youngsters to hop on and, through complimentary makeup classes or
one-to-one makeovers, gain first-hand experience on how the new mascara
and eye make up can pair them with looks which Lancôme has named "Cute
Doll", "Sexy Doll" and "Romantic Doll".
"This is a refreshing campaign execution and we were delighted when
Mindshare brought this idea to the table," said Michelle Kwok, deputy
general manager of Lancôme China.
"This outdoor campaign aims to heighten consumer awareness of Lancôme
Hypnôse Doll Eyes and brings educative interaction directly to their
weekend hangout spots."
And such originality has always been at the heart of Mindshare, says
Jonathan Romano, general manager of L'Oreal Luxe, Mindshare Shanghai.
"We constantly seek new ways to work with our clients to strive for
media excellence. The novel manner in which we will take Lancôme Hypnôse
Doll Eyes to the streets of China is a fun and interactive way to
engage the brand's target audience so that they get to see, feel, touch
and experience the product range up close."
The travelling campaign will leave the Chinese capital and arrive to Shanghai on 7 September, Nanjing on 14 September, Chengdu on 21 September and Shenyang on 28 September.
