在美国,新闻媒体受政治经济因素的影响,不得不代表既得利益立场来报道,是片面的。所以在世界新闻自由日(World Press Freedom Day)这天,The New York Times(纽约时报)作为权威性国家新闻媒体,联合联合国教科文组织共同发起倡议:呼吁民众不要只听一家媒体的报道,要多听多看其他家的,以此来确立对事件的正确认识,共建信息流通的环境。
